FLORIDA TEACHER PROGRAM WITH ESOL
This program offers an intensive and fast paced learning of English for Speakers of Other Languages in conjunction with the Florida Teacher Certification Examination (FTCE) preparation. This program’s objective is to help the student achieve the knowledge and experience level to function successfully in the community and to obtain a job as a teacher in his or her area of expertise. Our program provides the necessary knowledge, experience, and practical understanding required for the six FTCE examinations required by the Florida Department of Education. The official evaluation and translation of diplomas and grades required to become a Florida Certified Teacher are included in the program. All materials, books, eligibility application, and six (6) separate examinations are included at no cost to the student. Management Resources Institute personnel manages all evaluations, applications and enrollments to the exams with the Florida Department of Education as an additional service to our students. The Florida Department of Education may require certain students to take additional semester hours in education courses in order to obtain the Professional Certificate. Those credit hours are not offered with this program. Students that have already applied to become a Florida Teacher and/or have already passed examinations will enroll only to the portion of the program that applies to them. Students may also enroll to one of the courses as part of our continuing education program. This program is eligible for Title IV, South Florida Workforce and Workforce One funding. Available in both campuses. CREDENTIAL
