MRI is committed to help all its students find the right job. In order to do that we have developed strategic relationships with various employers in Dade County.

To utilize our no fee placement services, an employer needs only to contact one of our job developers. The job developer will request basic job descriptions and any other relevant employment information from the employer. After gathering this information the job developer will then match qualified candidates and present them to the employer to interview. There is no fee for this service

Most employers can receive major incentives to hire these students. Potential employees fall under different categories, depending on the source of the government funding aimed at helping employers hire our customers.

The US government provides a number of incentives to employers

Work Opportunity Tax Credit – up to $2,400.00 per employee.
Tax Credits of up to $8,500.00 per employee over a two-year period.
OJT (On the Job Training), up to 50% of the wages paid for a maximum of 6 months.
Enterprise and Empowerment Zone (EZ) incentives for zone businesses to claim job tax credits against their corporate income or sales and use tax.
Employer Worker Training (EWTP) reimbursement.
Customized Training (CT) reimbursement.

1. Welfare to Work	If the potential employee is government classified as "Welfare to Work", your business is eligible to receive up to $8,500.00 in tax credits per participant hired over a two- year period.
2. OJT (On The Job Training),	If a prospective employee needs training before "getting up to speed," the OJT program will pay you, the employer, up to 50% of the individual's wages. Training is to be provided by the employer, in the way that they operate their business, over a set period of time. This training can last no longer than is required for the trainee to acquire the necessary skills. This training period may last up to six months.
3. Enterprise and Empowerment Zone (EZ)	If your business is located in an approved Enterprise zone (seee ?????) there are incentives for zone businesses to claim job tax credits against their corporate income or sales and uses tax. Take advantage of property tax abatement, impact fee refunds, property tax credits, and other incentives when you create new jobs while relocating or expanding within the Enterprise Zone.
4. Empowerment Zone	Increase the benefits from the Work Opportunity Tax Credit & Welfare-to-Work tax credits, when you create new jobs while relocating or expanding within the Empowerment Zone.
5. Work Opportunity Tax Credit	This program encourages the hiring of workers from specific qualified target groups such as: veterans, vocational retraining participants, summer youth participants, benefit recipients, food stamp recipients, at-risk youth, and ex-offenders. In hiring an individual from one of these groups, your business is eligible to receive tax credits equal to 40% of qualified wages, for a maximum allowable credit of $2400 per employee, provided the employee works a minimum of 400 hours. If the eligible participant only works between 120 to 399 hours, then you qualify for tax credits equal to 25% of qualified wages, or $1,500. The net tax credit depends on several factors, including your tax rate, the participant's target group, and the participant's earnings.
