The Traditional Training Methods Training is usually a passive endeavor, and the main purpose is to teach something new. The participants sit in class for long periods of time listening to an instructor explain many different subjects. At times they may have work sessions to practice some points. Once the seminar is concluded, some seminars give the attendee an action plan to follow up. Usually this dies since the person returns the daily pressures that consume their time. MRI’s process is geared to action. The main purpose is to get the participants to use what they have learned. MRI's Training Philosophy Management Resources, Inc. approaches the training and development of its people emphasizing the practical use of the material. We have found that most instructor based programs are not 100% effective. Management Resources, Inc. researched the teaching methodologies used in the most progressive institutions and found that Computer Based Training (CBT) , supported by instructors, is the most sophisticated and effective method in use today. The feedback was universal. CBT: CBT utilizes full time instructor to help those that have questions as well as to have routine classroom discussions of the items learned. YOU ARE NEVER ALONE Classes are explained verbally by the instructor, sometimes utilizing PCs, utilizing overhead transparencies. computer projected (overhead) displays, easel, handouts and textbooks. |
