| Course description This course is designed to prepare the participant for employment as an entry level word processor operator using Microsoft WORD, the standard in the industry. ○ The emphasis is on practical experience, the learning by doing and an emphasis on how to use the extensive help support system ○ Utilizes instructor to provide introduction, start up and to answer questions ○ Students utilize extensive interactive computer training to practice what was learned ○ Students complete series of exercises Material used: ○ Interactive CD training Office NET-G ○ Interactive CD training specific components (Professors series, Individual Software Inc., Pleasonton, Ca.) ○ Interactive exercises ○ Case studies ○ Manuals ○ Instructor support as needed and periodic classroom discussions and presentations | Content: ○ Introduction to computers ○ Window 98;/XP ○ Word XP ○ Internet basic search ○ See syllabus below Expected results: ○ Working knowledge on the basics of Word XP ○ Can produce professional looking documents |
