MEDICAL BILLING TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM

Computer knowledge and  Medical Billing-Coding skills open doors to a wide range of career opportunities.  This program targets both the medical field and any computer-related or office position. As a Medical Biller graduate you can apply to jobs in physicians' offices, health-clinics, hospitals and other health care environments as a Medical Biller, Coder, Registration Clerk, Front Desk Clerk,  Collections Assistant and Scheduling Assistant.

Graduates of this program without medical experience usually start their healthcare career at private doctor’s practices or small clinical centers.  It is also an excellent business opportunity for those wanting to work from their home.  This program prepares students to become a Certified Coder Associate (CCA), certification provided by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA). Upon completion, the graduate will possess working knowledge of medical terminology, coding, and  medical billing.   We offer our training in the most popular and up-to-date billing and coding software. Students of this program learn the most-used business software such as Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Students may also enroll to one of the courses as part of continuing education.

This program is eligible for Title IV, South Florida Workforce and Workforce One funding.  Available in both campuses.
