ACCOUNTING AND BUSINESS TECHNOLOGY

 

Graduates of the Accounting and Business Technology Program are qualified to manage sound accounting practices and become financial record keeper, tax preparer, and also apply for jobs in the office technology field. Included in the program is the preparation and fees for the QuickBooks Certification exam, a nationally recognized certification for QuickBooks, the leading accounting software for small and medium sized businesses. Students not only learn to prepare taxes for individuals and companies, we also assist each participant to obtain a Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN) with the IRS, and pass the IRS Competency Exam. Also included, is the most used business software such as Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel to provide graduates with a set of tools for their new career in accounting.

 

Students with previous knowledge may opt to enroll to a portion of the program. Students may also enroll in one of the courses as part of continuing education program.

 

This program is eligible for Title IV, and Workforce One funding.  It is available in both campuses.
