A.- OBJECTIVES AND SUMMARY1. To improve participants leadership skills. 2. To understand the impact of positive attitudes on individuals and corporate success. 3. To have the participant understand the connection between leadership and motivation. 4. To understand the role of communication in effective leadership. 5. To improve written communications. 6. To improve Communication skills among individuals and groups. 7. To develop a positive business climate.
| The course is designed to provide the participant with the tools and techniques to enhance the overall effectiveness of their performance. This program develops the determination, courage, confidence and ability to view and respond positively to a situation. It instills a leadership mentality which assumes that goals can be accomplished, jobs can be done, problems can be solved, and obstacles can be overcome. The concepts of leadership, communications and motivation are introduced and the relationship among them is fully developed. The course offers an introduction to the different leadership styles, the role of management, the need for proper communication and motivation. |
The three basic components of this process are: Replacement of undesirable attitudes such that the participants think and act in terms of their full potential (human behaviorists tell us that most individuals perform at 3% to 25% of their potential). Human Relations Skills: Effective use of communication, problem solving, motivation, planning, organizing and leadership skills which will directly affect their performance. Goal Setting: Used to motivate participants to use those skills and attitudes, in addition to having them put together a plan for their lives and business, which will take them from where they are now to where they want to go. | |
B.- DURATION AND MATERIALS Approximately 10 weekly workshop and facilitation sessions of 2-1/2 hours each. Each participant will receive a Textbook, 14 sessions in audio cassettes, an action plan notebook and the annual review notebook. |
C.- PROCESS T his program is administered over a three-month period.
