A. OBJECTIVES AND SUMMARY

  • To prepare Physicians for the demands of the Health Care environment for increased leadership and patient sensitivity.
    1. Understand the leadership style required of Physicians and have each participant assess his/her personality temperament to identify potential compatibility gaps.
    2. Improve the Physician’s leadership skills
    3. Understand the impact of attitudes on the patient, staff and personal success.
    4. Provide an understanding of the concept of "customer" and it's requirements on the Health Care Industry.
    5. Provide an understanding of the elements of Quality and their implications on the Health Care Industry.
    6. Improve the "health care provider-patient" human interaction.
    7. Enhance the health care provider 's time management skills and overall efficiency
  • This program is designed to improve the doctor’s leadership, effectiveness with people and patient sensitivity. It is based on the following premises:
    • Awareness of the impact of Attitudes on individual performance and the patient
    • Understanding of Personality/ Temperaments and their impact on patients and the success of the practice
    • Concepts of Quality and Customer applied to the Health Care environment
    • Basic skills to assist the Health Care provider meet the increasing demands of his/her job

Personality Assessmenta self analysis to identify the Physician’s natural temperament, its strengths and weaknesses, and identify if the doctor’s personality differs from the leadership behavior demanded of physicians.
Quality and Customerthe understanding and knowledge necessary to deal with patients in a caring, effective manner according to their expectations, outlines the components of Quality, and the steps involved in providing "Quality Service".
Skills enables the participant to deal with patients, job demands, and their personal lives more efficiently.

 

A follow-up session is included to review the progress made on the action plan developed by participants.

B. DURATION AND MATERIALS

  • This program is two days (2) in duration.
  • It includes presentations, exercises, discussions and a self test.
  • The duration and content of the program is flexible. The most abridged version of this program is one (1) hour in duration.

C. CONTINUED MEDICAL EDUCATION

This program provides hours of Continued Medical Education (CME) based on its duration.
