A.- OBJECTIVES AND SUMMARY

  1. To enable participants to perform effectively under pressure
  2. To improve the quality of life at work and at home
  3. To have productive and quality performance, even in repetitive and dull tasks
  4. To prevent/minimize depression and nervous breakdown
  5. To understand stress and what causes it
  6. To learn tools and techniques used to control stress
  7. To identify the "right level of stress"
  8. To create an awareness of the impact of Attitudes and temperaments on stress

 

B.- DURATION AND MATERIALS

  • One day of class session.

  • Massage sessions are scheduled for 15 minutes per person.

  • Additional sessions can be scheduled on a monthly session, weekly, or at any time.

  • The therapists can provide feedback to management on the frequency based on their assessment of the participants.

C.-PROCESS

  • This program is taught through lectures and discussions.
  • There are group problems, exercises, and role playing to enhance the assimilation of class material.
  • Massage therapy is recommended as a stress reliever. This is optional and can be administered during the program. It is recommended to provide these sessions on an on-going basis. Companies can subsidize the entire session, parts of it, or leave the additional sessions at the employees’ discretion. MRI has found that employees welcome the benefits of the massage and are usually willing to pay for it themselves.
